The following are some of the events connected with S. Mary’s between now and the end of the Summer.

Easter Day – Sunday 8th April
Paschal Liturgy, Eucharist & Hymns - 8.00am
Blessing of Easter Garden, Sung Eucharist & Easter Eggs - 10.00am

Friday 27th April

There will be a concert in S. Mary’s at 7.30pm by Students from Garforth Community College.

Ascension Day - Thursday 17th May
Eucharist - 9.30am
Eucharist - 7.30pm

The Parish Pilgrimage will take place on Saturday 19th May.  This year we are going to Mount Grace Priory the very evocative and best preserved Carthusian site in England; the ancient Cathedral City of Ripon and for the Eucharist at Ripon, the medieval Chapel of S. Mary Magdalen. If you are interested in coming, please contact Nicholas or Wendy Plant as soon as possible.

Wednesday 23rd May
Another of our popular Quiz Nights, with Supper, will be held in the Parish Centre at 7.30pm



Pentecost / Whit Sunday - Sunday 27th May
Eucharist – 8.00am
Sung Eucharist – 10.00am

Thursday 14th June – “Wine and Syria”!!
Nicholas and Wendy will give an illustrated account of their fascinating and moving holiday in Syria last Autumn, ‘to help the evening along’ there will be Wine and Nibbles.

 

Saturday 30th June
As part the annual Garforth Arts Festival, S. Mary’s will be the venue for a concert by the nationally acclaimed Brodsky Quartet, at 7.30pm. The evening will conclude in the Parish Centre with Wine and Refreshments. Tickets will be available.

Monday 9th July
We travel to the beautiful medieval Selby Abbey to hear something of its history and importance. The evening will begin at about 7.00pm and after the Church Visit we shall move to ‘The Owl’ at Hambleton to mull over what we have heard … and enjoy ourselves!!!
 
Already we have Services and Events planned for the Autumn of this year and the details will appear in the Web Site Update later in the year.
